Merseyside Youth Music Week 2008

MDA is set to launch Merseyside Youth Music Week 2008 which will provide a range of exciting music-making opportunities to children and young people throughout the area.
From music master-classes through to networking events, training and information sessions and showcase performances at venues throughout Liverpool city centre, this week long event promises to engage young Merseyside music makers and music and media entrepreneurs, as well as the people who work with and support them
.MDA will be the leading force behind the event and will work in conjunction with a number of other Merseyside-based organisations.
Pete Fulwell, Chief Executive Officer of MDA, said: "Merseyside Youth Music Week will provide an excellent platform to enable more children and young people to get involved in a wide variety of music-making activities.
"MDA will be the lead partner in the organisation of this week long event, which will have both a regional and national profile. We are looking forward to working with a number of partners to ensure that the activities widen and improve the perception and importance placed on the music opportunities available to children and young people in the long term."�
Merseyside Youth Music Week will take place during October and will coincide with National Youth Music Week, organised by Youth Music.
